Outline of Ceremony:
Arrival: Shoshone point.
Set Up:
Jim and Marie set up 2016 prayer ties (1008 from Mauro, 1008 from Cami) in a circle on the ground the circumference that contains the number of guests at the ceremony. An entrance at the east is kept open, where there is a doorway created for all to enter with the prayer ties. This will be closed to complete the circle at the beginning of the ceremony, and opened at the end.
An entry way is kept open for Cami and Mauro to enter. That entry way is created by a space between Cami’s family (Jim) and Mauro’s family (Stella).
Cami and Mauro arrive walking down Shoshone Point trail while guests stand within circle.
Ceremony:
Beginning:
A bell is rung by Jim to signify the beginning of the ceremony.
Entrance:
Mauro and Cami arrive and enter into the middle of the circle.
When Cami and Mauro enter, Jim closes the prayer ties completing the circle.
Cami and Mauro face each other.
Jim stands between Marie and Stella, completing the human circle, uniting the families.
Jim:
“Would everyone please join hands to form a human circle of energy and love for the ceremony. Mauro and Cami are going to make their Declaration of Intention of this ceremony.”
Mauro and Cami:
“Our intention today is to conduct a sacred ritual to manifest our marriage. We intend our marriage to be of unlimited manifesting potential for the benefit of all.”
Prayer Ties:
Jim:
“Today we are standing in a circle of 2016 wedding prayer ties made by Cami and Mauro. They have intended a prayer into each sacred tie. These prayers are for themselves for their wedding, their marriage, and their life, as well as for their family and friends. We stand within the circle of these prayers to strength and help invoke the union that is about to take place.”
Invocation:
We are humbly assembled here today before the awesome Majesty of God’s Creation. The same energy that formed this Canyon forms us, runs through us, is us and where we are gathered it is gathered in celebration.
We invoke this Majesty to witness and bless the sacred union to be formed here today between this man, Mauro Zappaterra and this woman, Camryn Walsh.
And know in so asking, so shall it be - For we are truly ALL ONE.”
Blanket:
Marie, Ashley and Lara wrap and hold the wedding blanket around Mauro and Cami as a symbol of their unification. The blanket is worn for the rest of the ceremony.
Jim:
“Mauro and Cami - Wrapping each other in this blanket is symbolic of the union you are forming today.
Hold this blanket in a place of honor in your home. Whenever one or the other needs consoling, let it cover you, and seek comfort from one another.
Whenever a dispute arises pledge to seek its protection and under its unity find your resolution.
Wrap it around your children when they need your warmth and wisdom.
For this blanket is the living symbol of the promises you make this day – and under this blanket
You will feel no rain
For each of you will be shelter for the other
You will feel no cold
For each of you will be warmth for each other
There will be no loneliness for you
For you will be the companion to the other
Now you are two persons
But there is one life before you.”
Wedding:
Jim:
“This wedding is a celebration of gratitude, love and commitment of: Cami to Mauro; Mauro to Cami; and their union with the sacred energy. Friends and family are here today please bear witnesses of their commitment & love to each other and bear witnesses of the offering of their union to the sacred energy.
Vows:
Fab & Ashley to give the rings to Jim.
Jim:
“Mauro and Cami will now pronounce their vows and make the solemn oath of marriage to each other”
Cami:
“I vow to surrender to love in holy matrimony with you, Mauro Zappaterra, in every moment. I vow to see you as a divine reminder to always surrender to love. Will you take me as your wife?
Mauro: “Yes I do”
Cami gives ring to Mauro
Cami:
“May I offer you this ring as a symbol of our union. This circular ring symbolizes the eternal- that which has no beginning and no end—a symbol of who we truly are. May we strive to understand in marriage that we are eternal pure love and help each other and others to do the same.
At this moment, I ask the undifferentiated consciousness to differentiate and express itself through Mauro and I as divine love and inner peace to serve each other and the world as best we can, in a loving, supportive, and nurturing marriage.”
Mauro:
“I vow to surrender to love in holy matrimony with you, Camryn Walsh, in every moment. I vow to see you as a divine reminder to always surrender to love. Will you take me as your husband?”
Cami:
Cami nods several times and says Yes, Yes, I will
Mauro gives Cami her ring
Mauro:
“May I offer you this ring as a symbol of our union. This circular ring symbolizes the eternal- that which has no beginning and no end—a symbol of who we truly are. May we strive to understand in marriage that we are eternal pure love and help each other and others to do the same.

Declaration of Marriage:
Jim:
“Please come forward and put your hands on Mauro and Cami to help bless and proclaim their marriage.
Please repeat after me.
“We accept and recognize
Cami & Mauro’s loving union.
May this union bring
peace, love, joy & good fortune
onto Cami & Mauro and into this world.
AND may their marriage
be of unlimited manifesting potential
for the benefit of all.

Ending:
A bell is rung by Jim, to symbolize the end of the ceremony. Enzo opens the east gate. Mauro and Cami leave the circle together. They stop on top of Shoshone point look out to receive blessing hugs from all in the party.

Burning of Prayer Ties:
Fabrizio prepares a fire and at sunset while all watch Mauro and Cami throw their prayer ties into the fire explaining that the fire opens the prayer ties so that the Gods can read them. Party departs.
